Belmont, St. Vincent and the Grenadines — The TMB Gold Mind Collective, in collaboration with The Melisizwe Brothers, will present the GOLD MIND SVG 2025 Music & Performing Arts Camp Series, taking place from July 15 to August 15, 2025, at the B.A.C.E. Event Centre in Belmont, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The camp offers structured weekly programs designed for youth aged 8 to 22, with a focus on music, performance, and skills development in the creative industries. Participants will engage in vocal and instrumental training each week and will perform at the conclusion of each session during Friday Night Live shows, held at the B.A.C.E. Event Centre. Each Friday will feature a high-energy live show with The Melisizwe Brothers and a full band, where all participants are welcome to perform.

The Melisizwe Brothers — Marc, Seth, and Zacary — are full-time students at Berklee College of Music and are recognized for their appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, America’s Got Talent, and Nickelodeon’s America’s Most Musical Family. Leveraging early success in the music industry alongside their academic pursuits, they remain committed to leadership in the creative sector. By combining professional experience with their educational journey, they focus on highlighting economic opportunities in the creative arts, sports, and other talent-based industries, showcasing pathways to success for the next generation.

The 2025 camp is designed to provide participants with the opportunity to develop their talents, build confidence, and engage directly with industry professionals. Each week offers a specific creative focus, including guitar and artist branding workshops, songwriting and lyric development, music production and recording techniques, dance, drama, comedy training, and live stage performance skills. Programming concludes with the TMB Legacy Talent Showcase and Industry Mixer, allowing participants to present their skills and connect with mentors.

Participants can also enter the Gold Mind Talent Competition, competing for awards such as Best Act, Fan Favorite, Rising Star, Judge’s Pick, and Group Performance. Competition categories include Vocal Performance, Instrumental, Dance, Spoken Word/Poetry, Drama/Comedy, and other creative disciplines.

The camp will also feature the Gold Mind 5K Run on Saturday, July 19, 2025, promoting health, resilience, and community unity. All participants will receive certificates, with prizes awarded to top finishers.

Registration is EC$250 per week and includes a Gold Mind T-shirt, daily lunch, and admission to all performances and events. Participants may register for one or multiple weeks based on their interests.

The TMB Gold Mind Collective, along with The Melisizwe Brothers, invites youth, volunteers, mentors, and sponsors to support this initiative promoting creativity, skill-building, and professional development.

The Yurumein Project and Melisizwe Brothers Continue Their Collaborative Mission with Gold Mind Belize 2025

Empowering Youth Through Music, Education, Sports and Culture

The Yurumein Project, a not-for-profit organization focused on preserving Garifuna language, culture, and community advancement, recently concluded another impactful edition of Gold Mind Belize—an annual youth development initiative, now in its third year of collaboration with international music group the Melisizwe Brothers: Marc, Seth, and Zacary, founders of the TMB Gold Mind Collective, from Leduc, Alberta, Canada, and with parental heritage from Yurumein, St. Vincent and The Grenadines.

Gold Mind Symposium. Ecumenical College, Dangriga, Belize.

Gold Mind Belize 2025 centered around the theme of investing in relationships and building strong networks, a message delivered through a weeklong series of educational, cultural, and athletic engagements across the Stann Creek District and local communities. With support from schools and project collaborators, the initiative continues to inspire and empower youth while promoting heritage and leadership.

The week featured a youth symposium at Stann Creek Ecumenical Junior College, an appreciation dinner for Yurumein Project members and supporters in Belize City, and the Gold Mind Symposium Concert at Stann Creek Ecumenical High School—where the Yurumein Project Youth Arm, and the Melisizwe Brothers performed. The concert also raised funds in support of local athletes traveling to the 2025 Penn Relays, where students from Ecumenical High have competed since 2018.

Additional outreach included school visits to Gulisi Community Primary and St. Matthew’s Anglican Primary School, as well as the Annual 5K Walk/Run for SVG, hosted across Dangriga, Belize City, Orange Walk, and Punta Gorda. The event brought together supporters in a shared effort to raise funds for the Athletic Track Project—a long-term initiative led by the Yurumein Project to construct a synthetic running track in Southern Belize. Proceeds from the run also supported Stann Creek Ecumenical High School’s athletic team as they prepare to compete in the 2025 Penn Relays.

Cultural preservation remained central to the tour, marked by the Honouring of Our Elders Ceremony, which paid tribute to the legacy and contributions of Garifuna elders. The week concluded with a Community Day in Seine Bight Village, where the community participated in activities of music, dance, and sports.

To further support youth development, the Yurumein Project and Melisizwe Brothers facilitated donations to schools and community programs—providing educational resources, musical instruments, and sports equipment.

This year’s Gold Mind Belize Tour, made possible through the leadership and support of the Yurumein Project, continues to strengthen opportunities for youth through culture, community, athletics and connection.

"Edmonton Community Unites for Hurricane Relief: The Melisizwe Brothers Host "Hurricane Beryl Inspirational Benefit Concert"

On September 8th, Edmonton's spirit of generosity and community collaboration was on full display as the Melisizwe Brothers, in partnership with St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenadian communities in Edmonton, hosted the "Hurricane Beryl Inspirational Benefit Concert" to support students affected by Hurricane Beryl. The event, held at the local Seventh-day Adventist Church, aimed to provide essential school supplies to students on Union Island, Carriacou, Petite Martinique, and Canouan.

The benefit concert, which was also supported by Island Grind and the Melisizwe Brothers' Gold Mind Collective, highlighted the community's commitment to education. Attendees were reminded that investing in education can be as crucial as meeting immediate needs, with the evening focused on enhancing the educational opportunities of young students affected by the hurricane’s devastation.

The concert featured vibrant performances by the Melisizwe Brothers and other local Edmonton artists, creating a memorable and uplifting atmosphere. The event was well-received, with the community rallying around the cause. Emphasizing that the fundraiser was not centered around food but rather on supporting education, the organizers successfully shifted the focus to a mission of long-term impact.

Funds raised from the event will be equally distributed, with half allocated to schools in Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique, and the other half directed to St. Vincent and The Grenadines. This balanced approach ensures that aid reaches all affected regions, providing high-quality backpacks and essential school supplies to help students continue their education with the resources they need.

The success of the "Hurricane Beryl Inspirational Benefit Concert" reflects a profound sense of solidarity and dedication within the Edmonton community. The Melisizwe Brothers and their partners have set a powerful example of how compassion and collective action can drive meaningful change, reinforcing the importance of education in overcoming adversity.
